Making a Booking

All bookings must be made directly with Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd, the licensed transportation service provider — any bookings made directly with the driver are not covered by any terms, conditions or policys provided by Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd.

 

An accurate estimate or agreed fare will be provided at the time of booking and where no price has been agreed upfront meter charges will apply.

 

By making a booking with Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd, you are entering into a contractual agreement with us for the provision of transportation services.

We will arrange for a licensed driver to complete the journey as booked. A one-time payment will be made in exchange for this service.

 

Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd is responsible for fulfilling the journey in accordance with our obligations as a licensed private hire operator under the regulations and guidance set by Dorset Council.

Booking Management and Cancellations

Only Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd, as the operator, has the authority to cancel a booking — not the driver. If a specific driver cannot accept the job, we will allocate the nearest available driver to fulfil the booking.

 

In the rare event that no vehicles are available, we may, at our discretion, subcontract the booking to another licensed provider. However, the contractual obligation will remain with Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd.

Customer Information & Journey Route

Customer information such as pickup and drop-off details will be shared with drivers to ensure the efficient completion of your journey.

 

Unless instructed otherwise by the company, the driver will select the route they consider most suitable and convenient for the journey, which may not necessarily be the shortest.

Payments

Cash bookings are to be paid directly to the driver, who acts as an agent on behalf of Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd.

All payments made by card or on account are collected by the company.

Delays and Service Disruption

We strive to ensure all vehicles arrive on time, but delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. If your vehicle is delayed, please contact us immediately on 01747 82 11 11 for an update on its arrival time.

 

Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd reserves the right to cancel services in the event of a national emergency, riot, fuel shortage, industrial action, severe weather, terrorist incident, or other events beyond our control.

Luggage and Lost Property

All luggage and personal belongings are carried at the customer’s own risk.

 

Drivers are instructed to return any lost property to our head office. Where possible, we will attempt to contact the owner and arrange the return of any lost items.

Breakdowns and Alternative Arrangements

If a vehicle breaks down during your journey, we will make every reasonable effort to provide a replacement vehicle and complete your journey as soon as possible.

Passenger Conduct and Liability

Passengers are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during the journey.

Customers will be liable for any losses, damages, or additional costs incurred by Ace Taxis (Dorset) Ltd as a result of actions or omissions by the customer or their party.

Legal and Contractual Responsibility

If a party fails to meet their contractual obligations, compensation may be pursued. However, our priority is always to resolve any issues amicably and internally.

Terms, Changes, and Monitoring

These terms and conditions may be updated at any time in accordance with Dorset Council licensing requirements and applicable government guidelines.

All telephone calls are recorded and monitored for training, quality assurance, and security purposes.
